Empoderamos a jóvenes tanzanas que enfrentan adversidades a través de nuestro programa integral de voluntariado. En colaboración con un albergue seguro en Arusha, apoyamos a niñas de entre 13 y 24 años que han sufrido situaciones de calle, abandono, trabajo no remunerado, matrimonios no consentidos, embarazos no deseados, trata de personas y violencia sexual.
Nuestro enfoque holístico abarca la educación, el desarrollo psicológico, físico y social, rompiendo los ciclos de pobreza y violencia. Ofrecemos educación formal, formación profesional, educación en derechos humanos y concienciación sobre el VIH/SIDA, mejorando así la empleabilidad. Únase a nosotros para generar un impacto duradero, dotando a estas niñas resilientes de habilidades esenciales para la vida y oportunidades para un futuro mejor.
Este es un programa de desarrollo comunitario que tiene como objetivo crear más conciencia sobre los derechos de las mujeres y la igualdad de género.

Un día en la vida
The start of work is flexible at any time between 9am and 10am. The tasks of the volunteers are diverse and mostly freely selectable. Many volunteers either work with the children in the daycare, work directly with the women during their business development and rehabilitation program, or conduct english teaching.
Much of this program is about working with the women to understand their barriers and challenges as women in a developing society with little access to equal opportunity in work, education and the legal system.
Some days might not come with a special task to do for you, so you have to be a bit creative and ask where your help is needed. Once in a while, you can take some of the girls on a walk through the neighbourhood and listen to their stories and problems. Please Keep in mind that the girls and women were victims of human trafficking, were raped or experienced other horrible things. Please be confidential about what you are being told by the girls and be sensitive about their background. Don’t ask them anything that could make them feel uncomfortable. The women shelter has to remain a safe space for them!

All Zanzibar programs have a small fee of just $215 per week to cover your living expenses and the program inclusions whilst volunteering
